Why Did Request (REQ) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

REQ had no clear fundamental catalyst; order-book structure and broadly weak market sentiment may have jointly influenced its movement. In the order-book snapshot dated 2026-10-22, bids across the top five levels totaled about 2.05 times the asks, but 61.1% of ask volume was concentrated at $0.05177, while the largest bid was at $0.05012. This indicates concentrated overhead selling and a larger bid positioned lower; limit orders do not necessarily become executed trades. Daily and four-hour moving averages were bearish, while RSI was neutral and MACD showed no crossover, leaving no clear reversal confirmation. The reported market capitalization was about $51.84 million, and the token was fully circulating.

About Request (REQ)

Request is a decentralized network built on the Ethereum network, which allows anyone to initiate a payment request anywhere and provides a secure payment method to the recipient. All data is stored in a decentralized real ledger, creating a financial platform for asset invoices, accounting, auditing and payment standards. That is, a financial platform for enterprise level payment financial audit based on cryptocurrency and blockchain network.

Use Cases and Features

REQ is the native token of Request Network. Request Network is a non-custodial protocol for on-chain payment requests and stablecoin payments, with funds able to move directly between payer and payee wallets. REQ holders can participate in governance of the protocol and its foundation; when a request is stored on-chain, the system triggers the REQ burn mechanism, so its use is linked to the network's on-chain usage activity.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

REQ has a fixed total supply of 1 billion tokens, all allocated at genesis, with no inflation, subsequent issuance, or future unlock schedule. The initial allocation included a public token sale, early contributors, the team and advisors, and the foundation; the network burns some REQ associated with storing payment requests on-chain, reducing the number of tokens in circulation.
