Why Did Request (REQ) Rise in the Last 24 Hours?

The one-hour candle ending at 01:00 UTC on 2026-10-23 recorded volume of about 3,544.9 REQ and a narrow price range. Over the report interval, the bid-to-ask depth ratio across the top five levels was 1.50, while large orders were concentrated on both sides: a bid at $0.05073 accounted for 45.0% of total bid volume, and an ask at $0.05233 accounted for 59.4% of total ask volume. This created a shallow order book bounded by sizable orders, where a single order could materially affect the price; the bid-leaning depth ratio does not imply a guaranteed rise. Technical signals were neutral overall: RSI was neutral across timeframes, MACD showed no crossover, and the one-hour and four-hour moving averages pointed in opposite directions, leaving no consistent trend. Low volume and shallow depth may amplify short-term fluctuations, but these historical data alone do not establish the current direction.

About Request (REQ)

Request is a decentralized network built on the Ethereum network, which allows anyone to initiate a payment request anywhere and provides a secure payment method to the recipient. All data is stored in a decentralized real ledger, creating a financial platform for asset invoices, accounting, auditing and payment standards. That is, a financial platform for enterprise level payment financial audit based on cryptocurrency and blockchain network.

Use Cases and Features

REQ is the native token of Request Network. Request Network is a non-custodial protocol for on-chain payment requests and stablecoin payments, with funds able to move directly between payer and payee wallets. REQ holders can participate in governance of the protocol and its foundation; when a request is stored on-chain, the system triggers the REQ burn mechanism, so its use is linked to the network's on-chain usage activity.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

REQ has a fixed total supply of 1 billion tokens, all allocated at genesis, with no inflation, subsequent issuance, or future unlock schedule. The initial allocation included a public token sale, early contributors, the team and advisors, and the foundation; the network burns some REQ associated with storing payment requests on-chain, reducing the number of tokens in circulation.
