Q: What happens after staking SUSHI?

After staking SUSHI, users receive xSUSHI representing that staked position. xSUSHI is proof of a staking position: it is associated with governance voting rights provided by Sushi and makes holders eligible to participate in distributions of designated AMM swap fees; it is not an additional, independently issued SUSHI supply. Whether fees are received and how much is received depend on the swap fees actually generated and the corresponding staking position.

Q: How are Sushi swap fees distributed?

Sushi states that the standard swap fee is 0.3% of the trade amount. This fee is first charged on the executed amount of a swap: 0.25% is distributed to liquidity providers that supplied assets to the pool in proportion to their liquidity contribution, and 0.05% is distributed to holders who stake SUSHI and receive xSUSHI. Therefore, the former's income is related to its share of the pool, while the latter's distributable total first depends on actual swap volume; the fee rate itself does not guarantee a fixed return.

Q: Will more SUSHI continue to be issued?

Sushi stated in 2023 that 250 million SUSHI had been fully minted and that all tokens had entered circulation, so the total supply would not be expanded through further minting. A fixed total supply only answers whether additional issuance will continue; the distribution of token holdings across addresses, the tradable amount, and market price may still change.

Q: What do liquidity providers do in Sushi?

Liquidity providers deposit assets into Sushi pools, allowing the AMM to deliver the target asset from the pool and receive the input asset when users initiate swaps. In return for providing tradable inventory, liquidity providers share the 0.25% portion of the standard swap fee based on their contribution to the pool. However, swaps change the asset ratio in the pool, and when the relative prices of the two assets change substantially, the asset composition held upon withdrawal may differ from simply holding the original assets.

About Sushiswap (SUSHI)

Sushiswap allows users to mine the governance token sushi through the mainstream LP token on stacking uniswapv2. Each block issues 100 sushi, and these tokens will be evenly deployed in all 13 pools. In the first two weeks (2020.08.29 - 2020.09.12), each block can obtain 1000 sushi, while the sushi/eth pool will obtain 200 sushi. The sushi token has no practical value and only has the right to govern. In the future, once the liquidity of uniswap is transferred to sushiswap, the sushi token holder will share 0.05% of the transaction fee.
