Why Did OpenGradient (OPG) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

At 09:00 on 2026-11-02, the one-hour candle recorded volume of just 2,525 units, while total depth across the top five order-book levels was below 5,000 units. This indicates thin liquidity at that time, where orders could have a sizeable price impact. The bid-to-ask depth ratio was 1.38, slightly weighted toward bids; buying interest was concentrated at $0.11884, but that does not establish institutional support. Technical signals were mixed: the four-hour moving averages were bullish, the daily RSI was oversold, and MACD gave no signal across the reviewed timeframes. Overall directional momentum was unclear, and low volume reduces the usefulness of these indicators.

About OpenGradient (OPG)

OpenGradient is the Network for Open Intelligence - a decentralized infrastructure network designed to host, execute, and verify AI models at scale. Rather than functioning as a standalone blockchain, OpenGradient operates as a specialized AI coprocessor. It enables other applications, blockchains, or agents to outsource computationally-heavy tasks to a dedicated network of specialized GPU and Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) nodes for computation.

Use Cases and Features

OPG is the utility token of the OpenGradient network, used to support verifiable AI infrastructure. On Base, users can pay for LLM (large language model) inference with OPG; inference execution and verification are handled by the OpenGradient network. The network also targets use cases such as model hosting, automated workflows, and verifiable AI applications, with OPG serving as a payment medium for related network services. The reference version on Base is an ERC-20 token and connects to other supported networks through a cross-chain adaptation mechanism.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

OPG has a total supply of 1 billion tokens. Allocations include 40% for the ecosystem, 15% for the foundation, 15% for core contributors, 10% for investors and advisors, 10% for staking rewards, 6% for liquidity and launch, and 4% for airdrops. Different categories use different initial release, lockup, and linear vesting arrangements; for example, core contributors and investors and advisors both have a 12-month lockup followed by linear release.
