About Nest Protocol (NEST)

Nest protocol is a decentralized price Oracle network developed based on Ethereum network. Nest defines and implements a new scheme to generate on chain prices on the blockchain. It uses the market game theory to synchronously generate the prices of the off chain market on the chain by means of miners' two-way quotation. Combined with the mining mechanism of nest quotation, it encourages the miners to become a set of logic closed-loop distributed quotation system, perfectly generates the off chain prices on the chain step by step, and forms the nest price prediction machine.

Use Cases and Features

NEST serves as the native token across the NEST Protocol ecosystem. Users can burn NEST to purchase financial assets, including futures and options. NESTFi, by contrast, is a decentralized perpetual exchange that uses smart contracts to execute trades and does not use market makers or liquidity pools. The exchange’s trading model is distinct from the token’s use to purchase assets.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

The NEST token contract on Ethereum is to be replaced with NEST2.0. NEST is burned when users buy financial assets such as futures and options; NEST Protocol attributes a rise in the token’s price to the amount burned exceeding the amount generated. This connects burning and generation with supply changes, but does not define a fixed supply cap or total issuance, nor provide a specific formula for issuance.
