Why Did Livepeer (LPT) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

An order-book snapshot from 2026-11-07 showed an LPT bid-to-ask depth ratio of 0.55 across the top five levels, with about 123.0 units in bids and 223.6 in asks. A sell order at $1.3612 accounted for 41.1% of top-five ask volume, indicating concentrated selling pressure that could constrain near-term upward movement. Larger bids at deeper levels do not guarantee support, and a single snapshot does not reveal traders’ intentions. A candle from the same period recorded volume of 194.9 units within a narrow $1.365–$1.369 range, indicating subdued trading. Technical indicators leaned bearish across several timeframes, but the 1-hour ADX was 6.24, signaling very weak trend strength; MACD showed no crossover on any timeframe, so directional momentum lacked clear confirmation.

About Livepeer (LPT)

Livepeer is an open source live video platform service based on Ethereum blockchain. Livepeer token (LPT) is the protocol token of livepeer network. Token holders can bind tokens to transcoders to perform work on your behalf and earn new tokens and benefits every day.

Use Cases and Features

Livepeer is an open video and AI compute network, and LPT is its coordination token. Orchestrators use GPUs to provide video processing, AI inference, and other work for the network, and need both their own staked LPT and LPT delegated by users to enter the active set; delegators can delegate LPT to orchestrators to support the network's security and service capacity, and participate in fee and reward distribution under protocol rules. LPT does not represent corporate equity or a fixed return.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

The LPT supply includes inflation rewards for participating stakers: participants who delegate or operate an orchestrator node in the protocol can receive rewards under its rules. Since February 2022, related rewards and ETH fees have been distributed on Arbitrum; assets historically delegated on the Ethereum mainnet must be migrated before protocol operations can continue. Actual LPT returns can be affected by factors such as the selected delegatee, network fees, and participation levels.
