What is KILO?

KILO is the utility token of the KiloEx ecosystem. KiloEx is a decentralized trading platform that provides perpetual contract trading; under protocol rules, KILO can be converted into xKILO to access mechanisms related to staking and governance. Accordingly, KILO itself is related to the platform's perpetual contract trading services, but holding KILO should not be described as holding equity in the platform or as automatically entitling the holder to fixed returns. Whether to convert, stake, or participate in governance is separately subject to the relevant contracts and rules.

What is the difference between KILO and xKILO?

KILO is an ecosystem utility token that can be converted into xKILO; xKILO is a non-transferable custodial governance token associated with converted/staked KILO. The conversion ratio is 1 KILO to 1 xKILO, but they differ in transferability and functionality. xKILO cannot be ordinarily transferred between accounts. It is used to participate in designated staking arrangements and protocol governance, and can be redeemed back into KILO under redemption rules. Therefore, a 1:1 conversion does not mean that xKILO and freely circulating KILO are identical in liquidity or exit timing.

KILO has an initial total supply of 1 billion tokens. Official tokenomics materials allocate tokens across categories including the ecosystem, team, strategic investment, airdrops, private sales, staking rewards, and liquidity; different categories are subject to different lockup or linear vesting arrangements. Total supply describes the initial issuance scale and cannot directly represent the quantity tradable on the market at any given time. Allocations whose lockups have not ended or that remain under linear vesting differ from allocations that have already been released and can enter the market; therefore, analyzing tradable supply requires considering both allocation categories and their respective release schedules, rather than looking only at the total of 1 billion.

How can xKILO be converted back into KILO?

KILO can be converted into xKILO at a 1:1 ratio through the KiloEx interface; to convert it back into KILO, a vesting term must be selected and redemption must follow the rules for that term. The complete conversion path is not a single ordinary transfer: non-transferable xKILO is first created, then KILO is restored through a redemption arrangement. Official rules state that when a term of fewer than 180 days is selected, the proportion of KILO that can be redeemed is reduced, and the unredeemed portion of xKILO is burned. In other words, the term determines both the waiting time and the recoverable proportion; only by understanding both conditions can one correctly understand that a “1:1 conversion” does not guarantee a 1:1 KILO exit at any time.

What can holders do with xKILO?

xKILO can be deposited into designated staking pools to participate in the corresponding staking arrangements and can be used for protocol governance. It establishes participation eligibility through the non-transferable xKILO form, rather than treating a freely circulating KILO balance directly as the same type of governance or staking credential. The pools available for participation, reward conditions, governance procedures, and redemption constraints are subject to the relevant contracts and current platform rules. Staking or governance functionality describes mechanisms in which users may participate; it does not equate to a predetermined reward amount or yield rate.
