Why Did Golem (GLM) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

Short-term technical signals are mixed: the 15-minute RSI was oversold, and the 1-hour and 4-hour moving averages were bullish, while the daily moving average was bearish. MACD showed no crossovers on any timeframe, leaving momentum without confirmation. In the order-book snapshot dated 2026-10-21, the bid-to-ask depth ratio across the top five levels was 0.92, indicating an overall near balance. Larger bid and ask orders were located at $0.11652 and $0.12041, respectively, showing concentrated orders on both sides; a single snapshot does not reveal traders’ intentions. The hourly candle closed lower, consistent with the mixed technical signals, but this alone does not establish a cause for the price change.

About Golem (GLM)

GNT will be replaced by GLM in the ratio of 1:1. Golem is a decentralized computing power leasing platform built on the Ethereum platform. Golem is a global, open source, decentralized supercomputer that anyone can access. It is a combination of personal laptops and user machines throughout the data center. Through Golem platform, any user can become the distributor and lessee of computing power. Whether the user provides an idle home computer or several large data centers, they can join the Golem platform. The Ethereum based trading system is applied to the Golem platform to settle the income of the computing power provider and the fees that the computing power user needs to pay.

Use Cases and Features

GLM is the ERC-20 utility token of the Golem network and serves as the settlement currency for renting computing resources. Requestors pay providers GLM according to actual usage to obtain resources needed for computing tasks or services; providers can earn GLM by sharing idle computing capacity. The network uses a pay-as-you-go model, with payments directly tied to resource rental.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

GLM has a maximum total supply of 1 billion tokens, the same as the total supply of the older GNT. Since late 2020, Golem has been migrating GNT to ERC-20-compliant GLM, and migration can still be performed at a 1:1 ratio; therefore, GNT is a historical token, while GLM is the token currently used for peer-to-peer transactions on the network.
