Why Did Gnosis (GNO) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

On 2026-11-07, Gnosis Pay confirmed unauthorized access to its B2C system and said it had addressed the incident within two hours; funds were unaffected, but exposure of customers’ personal information could still undermine trust in the ecosystem’s operations. A user’s complaint that a card had not been delivered and personal data had been accessed added to the discussion. In the order book, sell-side volume across the top five levels was about 2.6 times buy-side volume, indicating heavier near-term selling pressure. However, very low trading volume means a small number of trades can magnify price effects, and this alone does not establish broad market consensus. The largest buy order was at $111.81 and the largest sell order at $115.00; concentrated orders may create local support and resistance, which can shift as liquidity changes. Technical signals were mixed: moving averages were weak on the 1-hour and daily intervals but stronger on the 4-hour interval; RSI was neutral on most intervals, and MACD offered no clear confirmation. The security incident and order-book structure may form a backdrop of pressure, but do not by themselves prove what caused the price movement.

About Gnosis (GNO)

Gnosis is a decentralized forecasting market based on Ethereum protocol. Gnosis provides an open platform for people to predict the results of any event, greatly simplifying the creation process of customized prediction market applications. At the same time, Gnosis makes use of the characteristics of blockchain trust machine and automatic execution of smart contracts, so that players can enter the prediction market more flexibly and freely, bringing more imagination to the prediction market. In the future, participants in gnosis need not even be natural persons. In the Internet of things, the information collected by sensors can also be easily entered into the blockchain as information assets for trading.

Use Cases and Features

GNO is the governance and staking token of the Gnosis ecosystem. GNO held or delegated to a user can participate in voting on GnosisDAO proposals, with voting power varying according to the amount of GNO involved in governance. GNO can also be staked in Gnosis Chain’s proof-of-stake (PoS) system: validators use staked assets to validate blocks and help maintain network security. Gnosis Chain uses a dual-token model, where xDai—not GNO—is used for day-to-day transaction fees.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

GNO has a governance-defined target total supply of 3,000,000 tokens. This target comes from GIP-35; later governance decisions authorized burning some GNO to bring overall supply closer to it. The target supply is not the same as the real-time circulating supply, and holders should also assess the situation using on-chain and market data.
