Why Did Decentralized Social (DESO) Rise in the Last 24 Hours?

DESO’s modest movement is more consistent with order-book dynamics in a low-liquidity environment; the available facts do not establish a specific news or fundamental catalyst. In the order-book snapshot, the top-five-level bid-to-ask depth ratio was 5.82, with 1,174.24 units of bids versus 201.80 units of asks. A 1,026.30-unit bid represented about 87% of the bid-side total, indicating concentrated liquidity that could provide short-term support, but this does not show that anyone was deliberately accumulating or defending the price. The largest ask was 48.30 units, much smaller in size. The candle recorded at 04:00 on 2026-10-29 had volume of only 4.8 units, pointing to limited trading activity at that time; when volume is low, changes in a small number of orders can have a greater price impact. Technical signals were mixed: the 1-hour and 4-hour RSI readings were oversold and moving averages were bearish, while the daily MACD showed a golden cross, leaving the overall direction unclear.

About Decentralized Social (DESO)

Nowadays, social media is controlled by five centralized mega enterprises, and DeSo hopes to change this situation. DeSo is a new Layer 1 blockchain, similar to Bitcoin or Ethereum, built from scratch for decentralized governance of social media applications. DeSo has raised more than 200 million dollars from Sequoia Capital, a16z, Coinbase and many other supporters. Today, DeSo has over 2 million wallets that can be accessed through hundreds of social DApps such as Diamond (diamondapp. com), OpenProsper (openProsper. com), NFTz (nftz. me), Openfund (openfund. com), and more.

Use Cases and Features

DESO is the native asset of the Decentralized Social (DeSo) blockchain. DeSo is a Layer-1 network designed for applications with high storage needs, such as social media, and can support on-chain activities including profiles, posts, follows, tips, NFTs, token transfers, and encrypted messages. Users can use DESO for on-chain transfers and, in some applications, to buy related tokens. DESO is not the same as a Creator Coin: Creator Coins are linked to individual profiles, and their prices change with buying and selling.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

Network transactions cause DESO to be naturally burned; in addition, some applications built on DeSo use DESO as the entry asset for buying their tokens, so this usage creates actual demand for DESO. Token price and available amount can be affected by market and on-chain activity.
