Why Did ChainLink (LINK) Rise in the Last 24 Hours?

Over four days, 246,800 LINK moved out of an exchange. Reserves also increased by 89,200 LINK on 2026-10-15, to about 6.29 million LINK, potentially reinforcing expectations of tighter supply. However, transfers do not mean tokens have left circulation or establish that immediate selling pressure has fallen. On 2026-10-21, Chainlink and several projects advocated incorporating a digital commodities framework into SEC rules, which could improve expectations for regulatory clarity; an advocacy effort is not an approved rule. Santiment said the 365-day MVRV was near break-even, indicating no clear excess of unrealized profits but not guaranteeing a rebound. Cross-chain application narratives may provide support, though no quantifiable demand or revenue evidence was provided. Technical indicators showed short-term moving averages leaning bullish amid a weak trend, while longer-term averages were neutral or bearish; RSI was neutral, MACD showed no crossover, and the overall signal was neutral. Shallow order books and unavailable volume data limit confirmation of market participation, while low liquidity can amplify price moves; these factors do not establish a single dominant cause.

About ChainLink (LINK)

Link is an erc20 standardized token based on Ethereum blockchain, which is used to pay chainlink node operators to retrieve data from off chain data, format data into blockchain readable format, off chain calculation and ensure normal operation time. Chainlink token, as part of the running node, can prevent bad participants.

Use Cases and Features

LINK is the native digital asset of the Chainlink Network. Developers and institutions can use it to pay oracle service fees, while network service providers such as node operators can receive LINK as compensation for their services. LINK can also be staked to enhance the security and service reliability of certain decentralized oracle networks through economic commitments.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

LINK was initially issued on Ethereum as an ERC-677 token and can now circulate across multiple blockchain networks. Its maximum total supply is 1 billion tokens; cross-chain transfers can be made through Chainlink CCIP and applications that adopt its Cross-Chain Token standard.
