Why Did Cartesi (CTSI) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

CTSI’s order-book depth was limited. Although sizeable concentrated orders appeared on both the bid and ask sides, total volume across the top five levels was small, so even modest trading could amplify price movements. This points to a fragile market structure but does not by itself establish that selling pressure was driven by fundamentals. Technical indicators were mixed on 2026-10-23: the 1-hour moving average was bearish and ADX was 54.65, indicating a relatively strong trend on that interval; the daily moving average was bullish, while RSI was neutral and MACD gave no clear signal across intervals, leaving direction unconfirmed. Low candlestick volume and limited price movement that day indicated subdued trading during that period. Pressure on US technology and AI stocks could affect small-cap crypto assets through broader risk appetite, but there is no direct quantitative link to CTSI’s movement; this context is therefore only a possible factor, not a definitive cause of the decline.

About Cartesi (CTSI)

Cartesi aims to build a general operating system for decentralized applications to provide off chain computing services in Linux environment without affecting security and decentralization. Thus, cartesi hopes to help build decentralized applications with stronger performance, easy development, economy and universality, provide developers with familiar and easy-to-use development tools, and bring better user experience to the public. Cartesi (CTSI) is a two-tier infrastructure designed to enable complex and intensive computing to run in a linux environment outside the blockchain without affecting decentralization and security. Developers can work in a familiar environment without artificial restrictions, and can access the development tools they are familiar with. DAPP can temporarily store data on the cartesi side chain, which is dominated by the proof of stack (POS) consensus algorithm without continuous communication with the underlying blockchain.

Use Cases and Features

CTSI is the ERC-20 token of the Cartesi ecosystem. Cartesi provides a dedicated Linux execution environment for applications requiring more complex computation, with computation results settled on Ethereum and verified when disputes arise. Users can delegate CTSI to decentralized staking pools to earn protocol rewards; the staked amount also determines governance voting weight and can be used to vote on ecosystem and funding proposals.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

CTSI has a total supply of 1 billion tokens. Cartesi previously announced that the foundation reserve completed its final unlock in July 2023; the current page presents CTSI as an ERC-20 asset with a fixed total supply. Token supply and distribution can be tracked through the project's transparency reports and on-chain staking records.
