Visa has been appointed as a Super Validator for the Canton network, marking its first approved blockchain governance proposal. The payments giant will hold the highest super validator weight of 10, aiming to bring its operational standards to the privacy-focused Canton blockchain. Visa plans to leverage Canton to expand its stablecoin business and assist regulated financial institutions in moving payments on-chain, while maintaining its cross-chain strategy for other blockchain deployments.
