This move by $BTC is accelerating, plain and simple because shorts themselves stepped on the gas for the market. 😮‍💨 Across different reporting periods, approximately $2.7-$3.1 billion in short positions were liquidated. But don't get it wrong: this does not mean the market suddenly received $3 billion in new funds, nor does it mean shorts actually lost $3 billion. As the price rises, short positions are forced to cover; the covering pushes the price even higher, triggering more liquidations. $BTC and $ETH 's acceleration over the past two days was significantly fueled by a short squeeze. But it wasn't all sentiment-driven. $BTC spot ETFs recorded cumulative net inflows of approximately $2.7B from August 17 to 19, including $517.2 million in inflows on the 19th alone. The preliminary figure for the 20th is $103.3 million, but data from some important funds has not yet been released, so it remains to be seen whether the momentum can continue. 👀 I am currently focused on BTC's $73,000 resistance; I will look toward $75,000 after it establishes a foothold above that level on strong volume. Below, watch $72,000 and $71,000. For ETH, watch the $2,330-$2,350 resistance and the $2,250-$2,200 support. Don't chase the liquidation figures; wait for the short squeeze to pass and see whether genuine buying can hold these levels. 🧠

$BTC Large wallets are shaking up the market: what are the $BTC whales plotting? 🐋While retail traders debate where the price will go after the local rebound, on-chain metrics are offering some very interesting food for thought. I watched the large addresses over the past 24 hours—and there is some serious position reshuffling going on.📉 What the whales are doing right now: A well-known anonymous address starting with bc1qsy became active overnight. During the latest price rebound, it dumped another 2,000 BTC (approximately $136.5 million at the current exchange rate). This wallet has already distributed more than 9,500 coins this month. Obviously, it is taking liquidity off the table. Interestingly, earlier today a large player tagged “Set 10 Big Goals” realized losses on shorts, reducing its positions by 1,169 BTC along with a sizable amount of Ether. The guy got thoroughly run over by the trend, and his remaining position is currently down by more than $2 million. The big picture: Despite the local selling, Santiment and CryptoQuant show that mega-whales (those with 10,000 BTC or more on their balances) have collectively accumulated nearly $2.9 billion worth of Bitcoin over the past 60 days. In other words, large capital is systematically buying the dips while the crowd panics. My thoughts on the market: The $71,800 area is currently acting as a strong resistance zone. If we hold the current support and large players stop pressuring the market with volume on exchanges, there is every chance we could see a full breakout to the upside. But locally, due to overbought RSI conditions (already above 75+), we could very well see another correction to sweep liquidity. I am currently looking for local long entries at strong levels, but without going overboard. What do you think?
