Introduction
Xiaomi was officially founded in April 2010. It is an innovative technology company focusing on high-end smartphones, internet TV, and the construction of a smart home ecosystem.
"Let everyone enjoy the fun of technology" is Xiaomi's vision. Xiaomi adopts an internet development model for product development, builds products with a geek spirit, and uses an internet model to eliminate intermediaries, committed to enabling everyone in the world to enjoy quality technology products from China.
Since its inception, Xiaomi has maintained a growth rate that surprises the world. In 2012, Xiaomi sold 7.19 million phones; in 2013, 18.7 million phones; and in 2014, 61.12 million phones.
Xiaomi has also disrupted traditional markets in areas such as internet TV set-top boxes, internet smart TVs, home smart routers, and smart home products. As of the end of 2016, Xiaomi had 77 ecosystem companies under its umbrella. Among them, products like Zimi Technology's Xiaomi Power Bank, Huami Technology's Xiaomi Mi Band, Zhimi Technology's Xiaomi Air Purifier, and 1More's Xiaomi Piston Earphones quickly became star products influencing the entire Chinese consumer electronics market.
On March 29, 2016, Xiaomi strategically upgraded its ecosystem and launched a new brand — MIJIA, with the Chinese name "米家". The brand name MIJIA is derived from the characters "米" (rice/mi) and "家" (home/jia) in "Xiaomi Smart Home". Its philosophy is "to create art in life". The construction of the Xiaomi ecosystem will adhere to an open, non-exclusive, and non-monopolistic cooperation strategy, promoting the development of the smart ecosystem together with industry partners.
