As a result, international oil prices rose rapidly; WTI crude oil’s intraday gain at one point was close to 15%, and the settlement price first surpassed $110 since 2022. Spot Brent crude oil also broke through the $140 level, reaching the highest level since 2008.

According to CoinGlass data, activity in oil-related derivatives increased significantly. Trading volume for the XTI contract rose by approximately 79.24% to $28.73 million, while open interest increased by about 4.37% to $20.76 million. Among them, on the Gate platform, the XTI contract trading volume was about $21.24 million with approximately 74.5 thousand trades; both ranked first globally. The XTI contract open interest was $9.1 million, ranking second globally.
