On-chain detective ZachXBT revealed discovering a coordinated network comprising over 10 accounts that creates panic by publishing exaggerated or false content about wars, politics, and other topics to drive traffic, then directs users to crypto scams. The network acquires follower accounts, generates AI identities, amplifies content through mutual retweets, and promotes fake airdrops or pump schemes (such as ORAMAMA). The network has already profited six figures and may currently be preparing new accounts for another round of scams. ZachXBT warned that if such manipulation tactics are exploited by larger entities, the potential impact could be far more severe.
