【BitTui】A serious security incident is unfolding on-chain. The PeckShield security team detected that a whale user whose private key was leaked on December 18, causing hackers to steal $27.3 million in assets, has now suffered a second “harvest” — the hacker just withdrew 1,000 ETH (worth approximately $3.24 million) from the Aave platform and immediately sent it into the TornadoCash black hole.

What’s even more concerning is that this is not an isolated incident. Tracking data shows that since the incident occurred, the hacker has cumulatively transferred 6,300 ETH to TornadoCash, equivalent to approximately 19.4 million USD. Such large-scale money laundering operations expose a current reality: despite on-chain transaction transparency, there are sufficiently mature coin mixing tool chains that allow bad actors to exploit opportunities. For users holding massive assets, private key management and wallet security have clearly become matters of life and death.
