On April 26, Jin10 reported that Airbus is about to finalize a deal to acquire part of the facilities of supplier Spirit Aero Systems, including the company's plant in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with the agreement expected to be announced as early as next week. The European aircraft manufacturer has been in negotiations with Spirit since last year. According to the agreement, Airbus will divest the work that Spirit undertakes for its key projects, particularly the A350 and A220 jets, involving plants in Belfast, North Carolina, Morocco, and France.
