Sonic Labs Mainnet is about to go live: the first Block has been born, Airdrop S Token is ready for battle, and Blaze generates Block in just 0.33 seconds
The well-known L1 public chain Sonic Labs, formerly known as Fantom, announced on Twitter on 12/3 that its Mainnet Sonic has successfully generated the first transaction Block. It is expected to be open to users soon. At the same time, Sonic Labs also completed the AirdropSnapshot of its own Token $S.
The first Block is born, announcing the summoning of Sonic Mainnet
Sonic Labs announced on 12/3 that its Mainnet has successfully generated the first transaction Block, symbolizing the completion of the 'Genesis' phase. Sonic Labs also recently announced that they are 'summoning the Sonic Mainnet', which will soon be open to users.
Sonic Labs is summoning the Sonic Mainnet to everyone.

Strengthening the Blaze test network to improve performance
Just a few days before announcing the Mainnet Genesis, Sonic Labs launched an upgraded version of Testnet Blaze (Testnet 2.0). The official statement mentioned that Blaze has an average block generation time of only 0.33 seconds, and the final confirmation time has been reduced to 0.82 seconds. It has maintained high efficiency in the first 221,000 blocks, demonstrating excellent performance.

The future goal of Sonic Labs is to achieve 'sub-second confirmation', aiming to increase transaction speed to process 10,000 transactions per second and compress confirmation time to just 1 second.
The average block generation time is 0.33 seconds, and the final confirmation time is 0.82 seconds, which can be considered quite fast. The Mainnet project is progressing as scheduled, and the Airdrop Snapshot is completed.
Sonic Labs originally estimated that the mainnet would go live from late November to early December, and it now appears to be progressing quite smoothly. Meanwhile, the Sonic Labs team also completed their own Token $S AirdropSnapshot last week. It is worth noting that $FTM Token holders can exchange 1:1 with $S Token, which is a special opportunity for users in the Fantom ecosystem.
Combining Sonic gateway, Cross-Chain Interaction, and Rollup as technical highlights,
Sonic Mainnet also integrates the Cross-Chain Interaction bridge Sonic gateway to connect to the Ether Mainnet, fully leveraging the vast Liquidity and user base of the Ether network to maintain high throughput and low Transaction Cost on its own Mainnet. In addition, Sonic has designed a shared sequencer that can handle the transaction needs of multiple Rollups simultaneously, making the generation of Blocks for these Rollups more efficient, ensuring Block security, and further enhancing overall operational efficiency.
