Fraudster stole $2.8 million in BTC from a British man.
A scammer, posing as a police officer, tricked a seed phrase into giving him on a phishing site, supposedly to "protect assets" from criminals.
The man fell for the trick and provided access to his wallet, instantly losing $2.8 million.
"Real officers never ask for seed phrases or your personal data, be careful," the police warned.
