Why Did Waves (WAVES) Rise in the Last 24 Hours?

At 19:00 on 2026-10-30, one-hour volume was only 5,804.4 WAVES. The bid-to-ask depth ratio across the top five levels was 2.42, and one buy order accounted for about 63.3% of buy volume at those levels. In a shallow order book, concentrated bids can amplify short-term price effects, but orders can be canceled, so this does not establish sustained demand or institutional activity. The order may have provided temporary support as the price approached $0.2243. Technical signals were broadly bearish, but trend strength was limited: moving averages were bearish on the 15-minute and four-hour timeframes, while the one-hour ADX was 13.92. RSI was neutral and ADX was below 21 across all timeframes, indicating weak directional momentum. These historical data are consistent with technical fluctuations being more pronounced in low-liquidity conditions, but do not on their own confirm a sustained trend or a specific trigger.

About Waves (WAVES)

Waves is a customized blockchain token platform designed for large-scale business and consumption habits. Waves was founded to enable traditional businesses and end users to enjoy the benefits of blockchain technology. Waves' platform was launched in 2016. The original design purpose was to point out the shortcomings of existing blockchain services. The result is an enterprise ready platform that emphasizes security, easy token manipulation (creation, transfer and transaction) and a simple and direct user experience, as well as addressing key long-term issues such as transaction speed and scalability.

Use Cases and Features

WAVES is the native token of the Waves blockchain. It is used to pay on-chain transaction fees and supports block generation. Waves uses leased proof of stake (LPoS): holders can lease WAVES to generating nodes while the tokens remain in the holder's account and the lease can be cancelled. A node may distribute part of its rewards to lessors, but the ratio is decided by the node operator.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

WAVES was initially issued with 100 million tokens in 2016. Block rewards create additional WAVES with new blocks, so the total supply can continue to change. Block producers can adjust the size of block rewards through voting.
