Why Did Vana (VANA) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

On 2026-10-26, VANA’s recorded bid-to-ask depth ratio was 1.14, relatively balanced across the top five levels but shallow overall. Large orders on both sides were concentrated within a narrow range, so even a medium-sized market order could have a noticeable price impact. The recorded market capitalization was about $1.47 million and candlestick volume was 694.8 units; limited liquidity may amplify selling pressure, but does not by itself establish the cause of the decline. Technical indicators showed bearish moving averages and an ADX of 57.71 on the 15-minute timeframe, with bearish daily moving averages as well. The four-hour ADX was 14.91, indicating an unclear medium-term trend. RSI was neutral across timeframes, and MACD showed no crossovers, providing no clear reversal or continuation signal.

About Vana (VANA)

Vana ($VANA) is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain that transforms personal data into a tradable financial asset, empowering users to securely monetize their private data through Data DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations) and innovative proof mechanisms like Proof-of-Contribution. By aggregating and validating data through Data Liquidity Pools (DLPs), Vana enables AI model training while ensuring data privacy and user ownership. The $VANA token underpins the ecosystem, facilitating transactions, staking, and governance. With its focus on creating a new asset class of data tokens, Vana bridges Web2 and Web3, aiming to revolutionize data ownership and the AI economy.

Use Cases and Features

VANA is the economic token of the Vana open data network. Users can give applications revocable permission to access data, and applications pay the network when authorised to read it; the network is maintained by independent operators. VANA can be staked to help secure network operations, and fee revenue is currently allocated to stakers, VANA buybacks and burns, and ecosystem development at 60%, 20%, and 20%.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

VANA is issued under a policy supply cap of 120 million tokens. New issuance is mainly provided as staking rewards for validators, at about 440,700 tokens per year, depending on staking volume and validator participation; it does not increase directly with application usage. Part of network fees is used to buy back and burn VANA on the market; burns vary with fee revenue and may offset some new issuance.
