Data publishers receive a corresponding share of settlement fees when their data streams are used for settlement. The website currently states that placing, reserving, and canceling orders are free; when a market settles, winners are charged a fee equal to 2% of the settlement value. The network does not retain this fee: 75% is distributed to liquidity providers according to liquidity contribution, 12.5% to validators that execute and sign settlement, and 12.5% to the data publisher used for settlement.
