Statter Network (STT) Price

STT is the token of Statter Network. The whitepaper positions Statter as public-chain infrastructure serving metaverse developers, users, and creators, and describes designs such as drag-and-drop chain creation, cross-chain digital identity, and a multi-chain architecture; these are the network positioning and technical solutions described in the whitepaper, not confirmation of the current availability of each function.

Under the whitepaper’s economic model, STT is a general-purpose token within the network that can be used to pay mining-pool startup fees, miner staking, Gas fees on the main chain or satellite chains, and Gas fees for ecosystem DApps. When a user initiates an operation that requires network processing, the Gas fee is the network-resource cost of that operation; the whitepaper also links the handling of tokens after Gas-fee payment to its burn design.

The whitepaper sets the total supply of STT at 1.861 billion tokens, states that there will be no ICO, and says tokens will be produced through mining. “Total supply” here is the supply-cap setting in that whitepaper’s economic model; it is not the onchain circulating supply at a given time, nor can the number currently minted or circulating be inferred from that setting alone.

Yes, it changes. The whitepaper’s initial parameters are one block every 12 seconds and a reward of 120 STT per block; miner block rewards decrease by 25% every 12 months. Therefore, if this rule is implemented, the per-block reward in the next 12-month period is 75% of that in the preceding period, rather than remaining at 120 STT; the absolute amounts allocated to miners, mining pools, and other uses also decline along with the total block reward.

Under the whitepaper’s initial block-reward allocation, 70% of 120 STT goes to miners, or 84 STT; 7% goes to mining pools, or 8.4 STT; ecosystem development, community development, the protocol lab, and the foundation account for 10%, 5%, 5%, and 3%, or 12, 6, 6, and 3.6 STT, respectively. These proportions total 100% and correspond to uses such as network security and storage, mining-pool incentives, the ecosystem, the community, R&D iteration, and foundation operations. When block rewards decrease by period, unchanged proportions do not mean that the absolute amount of STT received by each category remains unchanged.

The whitepaper’s staking design requires miners, before starting mining, to stake a certain amount of STT for each mining machine. Its rationale is that mining machines not only package the ledger but also store data and content generated by DApps; abnormal machine downtime may affect data availability, so staking is designed to constrain operating behavior. After staking reaches 180 days, miners may apply for redemption within 48 hours, with a 10-working-day processing period after application; if they do not apply during that window, the stake automatically renews for 180 days. The whitepaper also states that part of the stake may be deducted if a mining machine is offline, disconnected, or exits abnormally for longer than the specified time, but notes that this penalty will not be implemented before mainnet 2.0. These are mechanism conditions listed in the whitepaper; actual applicability is subject to the network rules at the relevant time.

The whitepaper lists mining-pool creation fees, Gas fees generated by the Statter main chain, and Gas fees generated by satellite chains as sources of STT burns, and sets burning 90% while retaining 186.10 million tokens in circulation (10% of total supply) as a deflation target. In other words, fee payment is the input in the design, while burning is its expected supply-handling result. That 90% is a target, not an achieved amount. The whitepaper further envisions that, after the target degree of deflation is reached, mining-pool fees will be used for ecosystem and community development, while Gas fees will be distributed to miners as rewards; therefore, the existence of a burn mechanism alone cannot establish the actual supply or price outcome at any point in time.

The whitepaper lists STT as one source of token weight in DAO governance: holding more STT may correspond to greater proposal voting weight, but its design does not determine influence solely by token holdings. The whitepaper also proposes credit weight, with credit linked to participation, credibility, and influence, to mitigate the excessive influence of large holders under purely token-weighted systems. The governance process is described in the whitepaper as proposal submission, onchain voting, and automatic execution after voting; it may involve network parameters, resource allocation, and fee or burn ratios. At the same time, the whitepaper states that the foundation and protocol lab will manage temporarily during the network’s launch phase, and plans to initiate a DAO and transfer power after the ecosystem is established. Therefore, holding STT should not be described as guaranteeing returns, conferring a management position, or necessarily enabling influence over governance outcomes.
