About Robonomics Network (XRT)

Use Cases and Features

XRT is used to operate the Robonomics network and pay for cloud subscriptions. In the smart-home setting, a subscription requires two accounts on the Robonomics parachain with distinct roles: the OWNER purchases it, and the CONTROLLER manages Home Assistant processes, including telemetry, and grants other users access. XRT on the new Ethereum contract has a separate, narrower role: it is bridged 1:1 from production-stage XRT on Polkadot and is used only for Uniswap liquidity.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

The total supply cap for production-stage XRT is 5,100,000 tokens, and this figure covers all allocations. The network may release up to 25,000 XRT per year for collator rewards. This is an annual maximum rather than a fixed release: a future Town Hall may recalculate the allowance. Any such adjustment changes the annual reward allowance, not the total cap or the allocations it covers.
