PoEM is used to enable nodes to reach agreement on blockchain headers, helping these levels remain coordinated.

Yes. The Singularity fork on March 19, 2026 executed a supply reset at Prime block 1,530,500, removed future unlocks, and increased the number of includable workshares from 16 to 32. The removal of future unlocks applied to portions that had not yet been released under the previous unlock schedule; it differs from issuance rewards continuously generated through open mining in subsequent blocks. Therefore, when understanding the current supply, do not simply apply the pre-upgrade unlock schedule; instead, consider this reset, subsequent mining issuance, and the on-chain state at that time separately.

Quai Network launched its mainnet at genesis on February 4, 2025, with the Cyprus-1 Zone online, chain ID 9, and GPU mining open from the first block. Public mining began on February 5; account-ledger QUAI transfers and application deployment opened on February 19. Genesis, the opening of mining, and the opening of asset transfers were distinct stages: the first put the mainnet into operation under its rules, while the latter two respectively opened security participation and actual asset and application operations.
