The target asset in this record is PUNDIX; NPXS is the old token from before this historical redenomination, rather than a current target asset alongside PUNDIX. The redenomination changed the token-counting unit: old tokens were exchanged for a smaller number of new tokens at a fixed ratio. It does not mean that an additional asset value was created merely by changing the symbol.

Q: What is the relationship between NPXS and PUNDIX?

The historical conversion ratio between NPXS and PUNDIX was 1,000 NPXS for 1 PUNDIX. In terms of quantity alone, the number of units after conversion was one-thousandth of the original amount; the project announcement stated that the redenomination was designed not to change the correspondence between the aggregate value of a user’s old tokens and that of the new tokens. A smaller number of units does not mean the asset automatically appreciates or has a fixed price. The conversion ratio only specifies the quantity conversion between NPXS and PUNDIX; market price still depends on trading conditions and supply and demand at each point in time.

Q: What do users who previously held NPXS need to know?

This redenomination began on March 30, 2021. For users who at the time used compatible private wallets, the official on-chain conversion route required connecting a wallet and submitting a conversion transaction; the on-chain conversion window ran from March 30, 2021 to March 29, 2022. Transaction confirmation speed depended on Ethereum network conditions at the time, and ETH gas fees were required. At that time, XWallet and exchanges that supported the conversion could process it automatically under their respective arrangements, but exchange schedules were not all identical. The private-wallet conversion period above has ended; anyone who discovers old NPXS today should not treat the historical description as a conversion service that remains open, and should not send tokens to any unknown address claiming to offer conversion.

Q: What does PUNDIX token removal mean?

“Token removal” here refers to an executed process that removes tokens from the total supply. Pundi X’s Q4 2021 report stated that approximately 6,802 PUNDIX had been removed and provided the corresponding Ethereum transaction as proof of execution. The report stated that, after this removal, the total PUNDIX supply at that time was 258,470,713 tokens. This figure is a record following that historical execution, not the current real-time total supply, and it cannot by itself establish whether removals will continue in the future or the quantity currently available for trading.
