What is Notcoin (NOT)?

It originated from Notcoin’s gamified participation and community activities in Telegram: early users first received in-game Notcoin or vouchers, and the project later connected those participation results to NOT, which can be held and transferred on TON. NOT and TON therefore have different roles. NOT is the project’s token; TON is the native asset of the TON network and is generally used to pay network costs such as smart-contract execution, storage, and message delivery. Holding NOT does not replace TON for paying on-chain transaction fees.

NOT’s key background is not ongoing issuance through mining, but the conversion of early game and voucher participants’ results into token allocations. Before the token launch, the official disclosure stated a total supply of 102,719,221,714 NOT: 80,219,221,714 NOT (78%) was allocated to early “miners and voucher holders,” and 22,500,000,000 NOT (22%) was reserved for new users and later stages. These two portions answer different questions: the 78% describes the allocation basis for existing game participation and vouchers at that time; the 22% is a category reserved by the project for later users, trading and launch paths, and long-term development. They are not miner rewards produced continuously by blocks, and they cannot be used to infer when or under what rules any address receives tokens from them.

Why do the in-game Notcoin and on-chain NOT numbers appear different?

Notcoin uniformly removed three zeros from the displayed units for in-game balances, vouchers, and total supply to make figures easier to read before the token launch. For example, 10,000,000 vouchers in the official explanation would display as 10,000 NOT, and 80 trillion in-game coins as 80 billion NOT. This was a historical unit conversion and display adjustment: it changed the counting scale users saw and used for settlement of participation, but it does not mean that every on-chain NOT will continue to be repriced by a factor of 1,000. Whether an early account could ultimately claim tokens, and how many, depends on the official account status, claim rules, and deadline arrangements at the time, rather than treating an old in-game figure directly as a current on-chain balance.

How did the way of obtaining NOT change after early click “mining” ended?

The early “mining” phase of clicking to earn an in-game balance has ended. Notcoin subsequently moved from a single-game phase to token claiming, on-chain holding, and later forms of participation such as exploration, games, and contributions. The significance of this change is that an early click balance is not a continuous on-chain NOT issuance mechanism that automatically produces tokens over time. After the token-claim phase ended, the official statement said that most of the airdrop had been distributed; unclaimed portions were categorized for future development, burning, and distribution to Gold- and Platinum-level Notcoin Explore participants. In other words, an early balance that missed the applicable claim period cannot automatically be regarded as still withdrawable through the original path; the asset status of the unclaimed portion changed under that arrangement.

What is NOT burning, and why must TON be prepared for the operation?

Burning NOT removes specified NOT through a burn mechanism from the state in which that address can use it, thereby reducing the token balance burned in that operation. It is not an exchange of NOT for TON and does not guarantee any price outcome. The official site shows a burn entry point and burn records, and the project has also stated that some unclaimed tokens would be used for burning. Under the official burn guide, the operator needs to create a new wallet account, transfer the NOT to be burned into that account, and prepare 1 TON before connecting to the burn page to complete the operation. The 1 TON is a balance the guide requires to be prepared in the operating wallet; it should not simply be understood as “all 1 TON is charged as a fee.” On TON, actual cost depends on contract execution, message forwarding, and, where required, wallet or contract state processing. Before completing the transaction, check the transaction details, network, and destination address in the wallet.

How should NOT on-chain transfers and fees be understood?

When transferring NOT, first confirm that the recipient supports NOT on the TON network and verify the TON address it provides; do not treat a token with the same name or an address on another network as the same asset. TON’s Jetton structure consists of a master contract and a wallet contract corresponding to each holder, and NOT transfers are completed through messages between these contracts. In addition to holding sufficient NOT, the sender should retain a TON balance for network processing. A Jetton transfer may contain multiple messages; the final fee is affected by the destination address, message forwarding, and contract-processing requirements, rather than by the NOT amount alone. If the recipient is a service platform, its requirements for the network, minimum credited amount, memo, or notification must also be followed. An on-chain transaction generally cannot be reversed once confirmed, so review the address, network, and amount item by item before signing.
