Why Did Nervos (CKB) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

The iCKB bot upgrade improves NervosDAO deposits and withdrawals, including shorter withdrawal waiting times and a 0.01% fee. It is a product improvement, not an explicit negative catalyst, and its effect on market pricing remains limited. Trading volume in the report window was about $1.187 million, while order-book depth was concentrated in a few large orders. This indicates limited liquidity, where capital flows may amplify short-term volatility; a single order-book snapshot cannot reveal the intentions behind those orders. Technical indicators were weak in the short term but directionless over the medium term: moving averages were bearish on the 15-minute chart and neutral on the one-hour and longer charts, while RSI was neutral and MACD showed no crossover on any timeframe. These signals are more consistent with short-term fluctuations and do not, on their own, establish a trend reversal.

About Nervos (CKB)

Nervos network is an open-source public chain ecosystem, including a set of mutually compatible layered protocols with blockchain technology as the core to solve the dilemma of blockchain scalability. Nervos CKB (common knowledge base) is the underlying public chain based on POW consensus mechanism in nervos network. While allowing any encrypted assets to obtain security, stability and license free, it can support smart contracts and layer 2 capacity expansion schemes, and enable the native token ckbytes to capture the value of the whole network through the encryption economic design of "value storage".

Use Cases and Features

CKB is the native asset of the Nervos Common Knowledge Base base layer, where the network uses proof of work to maintain transactions and state. It can be used to pay transaction fees and represents on-chain data storage capacity: holding CKB allows the corresponding amount of underlying storage space to be occupied. Users can also lock CKB in the Nervos DAO to participate in the compensation mechanism related to secondary issuance.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

CKB has a base issuance of 33.6 billion tokens, released on a schedule that halves about every four years. The network also has a fixed secondary issuance of 1.344 billion tokens per year, whose distribution changes with CKB state occupation and locking; transaction fees are also part of miner rewards.
