Why Did Moonriver (MOVR) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

MOVR’s technical indicators were broadly neutral: ADX was below 15 from the 15-minute to daily timeframes, pointing to weak trend strength. RSI was neutral and MACD showed no crossover signals across timeframes. The daily moving average was bearish, but ADX was only 5.25, limiting its directional significance. On 2026-11-04 at 12:00 UTC, candlestick volume was 35.5 units, indicating very low trading activity. In the order-book snapshot, the top-five-level bid-to-ask depth ratio was 1.23, while the largest orders accounted for 70.8% of bid volume and 58.2% of ask volume, indicating shallow overall depth and concentrated orders. Overall, the data are consistent with microstructure-driven fluctuations amid weak trend strength and limited liquidity, but do not establish a single direction or event-driven cause.

About Moonriver (MOVR)

Moonriver is an EVM compatible blockchain running as a parallel chain on the Kusama network. EVM compatibility allows Ethereum based applications to be deployed on Moonriver. Movr is a functional and governance token of the platform, which can be used for network governance, payment of transaction fees, and reward by providing liquidity and mortgage. Movr is a functional and governance token of Moonriver. It has the following use cases: transaction fees: users can use movr to pay transaction fees and execute smart contracts. Mortgage: users can mortgage movr to become a verifier or entrust, participate in network consensus, and get rewards from movr. Governance: movr token holders can nominate board members and participate in online voting. Liquidity Mining: provide liquidity for decentralized exchanges (DEX) built on the Moonriver blockchain (such as solarbeam) to earn the fees of some exchanges. Moonriver consists of the following main parts: Kusama: Kusama acts as a public test environment (Canary network) before releasing the project on poca. Moonriver is the Kusama ecosystem version of moonbeam (glmr) in Poka ecosystem. Parallel chains: parallel chains are independent blockchains (shards) that can be connected to Kusama. Crowdfunding loan: it is a method for the project to raise funds for a parallel chain slot on the Kusama network. Users temporarily lock their KSM in exchange for rewards from the project team, usually in the form of the project's native token. Slot auction: if you want to operate as a parallel chain project on Kusama, you must win a slot in the parallel chain auction. Moonriver won the quota of the second slot auction through crowdfunding, thus obtaining a 48 week Kusama parallel chain (from June 29, 2021 to May 13, 2022). The project raised ~47k KSM tokens from ~23.7k contributors in the

Use Cases and Features

MOVR is the native token of the Moonriver mainnet. Moonriver operates as a mainnet on Kusama and offers an Ethereum Web3 API-compatible way to interact. Holders can delegate MOVR to block-production candidates to participate in staking, and can also take part in on-chain governance voting. Staking returns are not guaranteed; candidate performance and lockup arrangements can affect the actual experience.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

MOVR uses 18 decimal places. In Moonriver’s 2021 crowdloan plan, 3,000,000 MOVR (30% of network tokens) was allocated to reward crowdloan participants; the design at the time allowed 30% to be claimed once transfers were enabled, while the remaining 70% was released weekly over a 48-week lease period. This was the allocation arrangement for that stage.
