Why Did Kaspa (KAS) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

Kaspa’s network had processed nearly 2.5 billion transactions, with close to 600,000 wallet addresses, while token standards and the wallet ecosystem were advancing. This is a positive backdrop for network activity, not a catalyst for the decline. Short-term pressure was more plausibly associated with a seller-leaning order book and technical signals: on 2026-11-02, sell depth across the top five levels was about 1.38 times buy depth, and a sell wall near 0.03316 represented 43.5% of sell volume, potentially creating brief resistance. A single order-book snapshot does not reveal traders’ intentions. The one-hour moving averages were bearish, but indicators on the 15-minute, four-hour, and daily timeframes were mostly neutral; ADX was below 20 on all timeframes, pointing to limited trend strength and range-bound conditions. Missing trading-volume data means on-chain activity cannot directly establish buying pressure or explain price performance, so technical and order-book factors offer only a limited, not definitive, explanation. A market capitalization of about $901 million also does not establish that trading liquidity is ample.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

KAS is issued through proof of work. Kaspa states that its mainnet launched fairly in November 2021, with no pre-mine, insider allocation, or presale; KAS in circulation has been produced through public mining since genesis. Official materials give a maximum supply of about 28.7 billion KAS, with emissions declining gradually according to predefined stages.
