Why Did Kaia (KAIA) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

In the historical order-book snapshot spanning 2026-10-21 to 2026-10-22, the top-five-level bid-to-ask depth ratio was 0.36, with total sell orders about 2.75 times total buy orders and the largest sell order exceeding the largest buy order. This points to relatively concentrated sell-side depth; amid low volume, such an imbalance may amplify the effect of selling pressure on price, but it does not establish a single cause. Volume in the 2026-10-22 06:00 UTC candlestick was low. RSI was oversold on the 15-minute and 1-hour intervals, while the high 15-minute ADX indicated that downward trend strength remained pronounced; oversold conditions do not confirm a reversal. The 4-hour and daily signals were directionally unclear, and MACD showed no signal on any interval.

Use Cases and Features

KAIA is the native token of the Kaia (formerly Klaytn) blockchain and can be used to pay on-chain transaction fees and smart contract execution fees. Holders can participate in governance through staking and delegation; the Governance Council makes on-chain decisions on matters such as network economic policy, technical policy, and ecosystem budgets based on its own stake and voting power delegated by users.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

KAIA is automatically issued as Kaia mainnet blocks are created. Current documentation lists 9.6 KAIA minted per block and a target initial annual inflation rate of 5.2%, but issuance can be adjusted through on-chain governance. Block rewards are distributed in set proportions among validators and the community, the Kaia Ecosystem Fund (KEF), and the Infrastructure Fund (KIF); transaction fees are also included in the block reward system.
