Why Did Jito (JTO) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

JTO’s technical signals are mixed: the daily MACD showed a golden cross, while moving averages on the daily and 15-minute timeframes were bearish. ADX was below 21 across all timeframes, indicating limited trend strength and conditions more consistent with a range than a clear one-way move. The candle at 12:00 UTC on 2026-10-23 recorded volume of 12,085.3 units and closed slightly above its open; with 24-hour volume unavailable, this does not establish that the decline was accompanied by heavier trading. In the order-book snapshot, sell-side depth across the first five levels was about 2.3 times buy-side depth, indicating more sell orders, while large orders on both sides could cushion price moves. A single snapshot does not reveal the intentions of those placing orders.

About Jito (JTO)

JTO is the Jito governance token. The launch of JTO enables token holders to make key decisions to shape the future of Jito Network so that it continues to evolve and thrive in alignment with the needs of those it serves, and of the broader Solana ecosystem.

Use Cases and Features

JTO is the governance token of Jito Network, allowing holders to participate in Jito DAO proposals and voting. Governance matters may include JitoSOL staking-pool fees, validator delegation strategy, certain network parameters, and DAO treasury management. Holders can deposit JTO into the DAO through Realms to obtain voting power, or delegate governance rights to a representative while retaining custody of their tokens.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

JTO has a total supply of 1 billion tokens. The initial allocation includes 34.3% for community growth, 25% for ecosystem development, 24.5% for core contributors, and 16.2% for investors. The community growth portion included a retrospective airdrop to community members; the use and distribution schedule of the remainder is decided through DAO governance. Investor and core contributor tokens unlock over three years, with a one-year cliff.
