Why Did io.net (IO) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

In the historical order-book snapshot from 2026-10-31, the bid-to-ask depth ratio across the top five levels was 5.57, with 17,933 units in bids versus 3,220 in asks. However, large order walls appeared on both sides: a bid wall at $0.13365 and an ask wall at $0.13474, constraining the space between them. Candle volume at that time was 12,160 units. With limited trading, order-book structure may have had a substantial influence on price stability, but posted orders are not the same as executed demand. Technical signals were mixed: the 15-minute MACD showed a bullish crossover while moving averages were bearish, as they were on the 4-hour chart. RSI was neutral across all periods, and ADX was below 12 on the 1-hour and daily charts, indicating weak longer-term trends. These historical readings show order-book imbalance amid low trading activity, but cannot on their own establish the cause of current movement.

About io.net (IO)

IO.NET is a decentralized AI computing & cloud platform. By aggregating GPU supply from underutilized sources, io.net creates a network that allows machine learning (ML) startups to access nearly unlimited computing power at a fraction of the cost of the traditional cloud.

Use Cases and Features

IO is the native token of io.net’s decentralized GPU computing network, which runs on Solana. It can be used to pay for computing resources, provide staking collateral for node operators, and support granular AI inference settlement. Staking means locking tokens as performance collateral; nodes that cannot reliably complete tasks may face corresponding staking penalties.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

IO’s economic model has moved from early fixed emissions to the demand-driven Incentive Dynamic Engine (IDE). This mechanism links incentives to actual network computing demand and revenue: after suppliers are paid, at least 50% of remaining network revenue is used to buy back and permanently burn IO. Reducing token supply under the old incentive model is a long-term goal, not a fixed short-term issuance commitment.
