Why Did iExec (RLC) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

No clear project catalyst corresponded to the price movement at the time; low liquidity and an imbalance in the order book may have amplified short-term changes. A candle at 15:00 UTC on 2026-10-29 recorded volume of only 456.1 units. The 4-hour and daily moving averages were bearish, with ADX readings of 37.31 and 43.83, indicating some strength in the longer-period downtrend. By contrast, the 1-hour ADX was 7.18, pointing to weak short-term direction, while RSI was neutral across all periods. The order-book bid-to-ask depth ratio was 5.45, with buy orders concentrated near $0.51 and sell orders near $0.5151; the large orders on either side may have acted as short-term support and resistance, respectively. With very low volume, limited market depth means that even a small number of trades may cause noticeable price movements, but this historical order-book and indicator data alone cannot confirm their cause.

About iExec (RLC)

Iexec is the first virtual cloud resource market. Iexec provides distributed applications running on blockchains (dapps), which are scalable, secure and easy to access required services, data sets and computing resources. RLC is a token issued by iexec cloud platform, which can be used to rent servers, data and applications.

Use Cases and Features

RLC is the native utility token of the iExec confidential computing ecosystem. It can be used to pay for private application execution, protected data access, and confidential computing tasks. Task payments are distributed, according to the prices and conditions set in marketplace orders, to application providers, data providers, and worker nodes that run computing tasks. When running an application task that uses protected data, users must temporarily lock RLC and receive sRLC, which represents the locked tokens.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

RLC has a maximum supply of 87 million tokens. The documentation states that the entire circulating supply has been minted, with no tokens pending unlock and no private-sale allocation. It uses a fixed-supply model; while tasks are being executed, some RLC may be locked for the duration of a task, and any portion not used for payment can be recovered after the task is completed.
