Hamster Kombat (HMSTR) Price

HMSTR is the ecosystem token of Hamster Kombat and uses TON’s Jetton token standard. To verify the asset, use the official Jetton master contract published by the project rather than only the “HMSTR” name, ticker, or icon: the master contract address listed on the project website is EQAJ8uWd7EBqsmpSWaRdf_I-8R8-XHwh3gsNKhy-UrdrPcUo. The Jetton master contract records the token’s metadata and total supply; each holder has a separate Jetton wallet contract associated with that master contract to hold balances and initiate transfers. Therefore, a token with the same name or a similar icon is not proof that it is official HMSTR. Before depositing, trading, or receiving it, compare the displayed master contract address character by character with the website address.

HMSTR’s Season 1 airdrop used Mintless Jetton: a user’s wallet could first display its allocated HMSTR balance, while the corresponding tokens were minted on TON only when the user first moved that balance. Displaying a balance and completing on-chain minting are not the same thing; the first movement is the condition that triggers actual minting. This design supported distribution at large scale. In its Season 1 results announcement, Hamster Kombat said that 131 million users were eligible for the airdrop. Minting and transferring tokens on-chain for every address at the outset would have added substantial operational load to the network. The project said it used this approach with the TON team to reduce airdrop load. Only after the user’s first transfer does that on-chain operation require the applicable network fee and confirmation process.

The official description presents HMSTR as a token for access to future applications and games in the Hamster ecosystem. This is an ecosystem-use positioning; it does not mean that holding it grants fixed returns, automatic governance rights, or access to every future feature. Whether a function is actually available depends on the relevant product being launched and requiring HMSTR. When the Season 1 airdrop began, the official announcement said HMSTR was “essential” to upcoming Hamster ecosystem applications and games, while also allowing users to leave tokens in the game. This shows that the design at that time linked the token to later game functions. It does not, however, prove that a future function has already launched or that an in-game balance has the same usability as a self-custodied on-chain balance.

HMSTR has a total supply of 100 billion tokens, of which the official announcement said 75% (75 billion) was reserved for the community. At the Season 1 settlement, that community pool was divided into two parts: 60% of total supply was planned for distribution after Season 1, and another 15% of total supply was planned for distribution in what was then called a later Season 2. Together they equal 75%. This was an allocation design in the Season 1 announcement and cannot by itself be used to calculate actual circulating supply at a particular time. The distribution of the Season 1 60% of total supply had two layers: 88.75% was immediately airdropped, or 100 billion × 60% × 88.75% = 53.25 billion tokens, equal to 53.25% of total supply; the remaining 11.25% was to unlock ten months after listing, or 100 billion × 60% × 11.25% = 6.75 billion tokens, equal to 6.75% of total supply. Thus, “6.75% unlocked later” is the conversion of 11.25% within the Season 1 60% pool, not another additional allocation from the whole community pool.

The Season 1 announcement also disclosed that 6% of total supply (6 billion tokens) was reserved for partnerships and grants, with 48-month linear vesting. The Hamster Treasury held 8% of total supply (8 billion tokens), subject to a one-year cliff and 49 months of linear vesting. Linear vesting means that releasable entitlement accrues gradually over the vesting period rather than becoming fully available at the start. The one-year cliff means that no treasury portion vests during that waiting period; only afterward does its linear vesting schedule begin. A partnership, grant, or treasury allocation being reserved, vested, transferable, and actually entering the market are separate stages. A vesting schedule states when release eligibility accrues under the rules; it does not itself mean the tokens are already circulating or sold. At the time of the announcement, the project also said that no partnership tokens had yet been distributed.

Season 1 anti-cheat measures changed allocations that some players would otherwise have received. The official announcement said about 2.3 million cheaters were banned and 6.8 billion HMSTR was recovered from those accounts; 50% (3.4 billion) was redistributed to honest players, while the other 50% (3.4 billion) was planned to be burned. Redistribution changes the entitlement to Season 1 rewards among users. If the planned burn is actually executed, the burned portion reduces the corresponding token supply. Neither fact alone establishes current circulating supply: it is also necessary to distinguish whether the tokens had then been minted or claimed, whether delayed unlocks had completed, and whether the on-chain burn had been carried out.

Leaving tokens in the game should not be understood as a permanent ability to withdraw them on-chain at any time. At token launch, the official announcement opened direct on-chain claiming and balance withdrawals and said players could send tokens to other addresses; when the airdrop began, users could also choose to keep tokens in the game. The difference is that withdrawn on-chain HMSTR can be used for on-chain operations by the relevant TON address, whereas tokens kept in the game are subject to the game account and the product rules in effect at that time. This availability later changed: a subsequent official announcement said that withdrawing in-game tokens was no longer available and that players who kept tokens in the game would receive rewards. Therefore, historical availability of on-chain claiming is not a promise that an in-game balance can always be withdrawn. Whether an account can still claim, retain, or transfer tokens in the game depends on the options currently available in that account’s interface.
