After users place BTC into Gate's on-chain earn arrangement, they can receive GTBTC according to the product arrangement. Yield is not distributed separately to the wallet as a fixed quantity of tokens or cash; instead, it accrues through growth in GTBTC net asset value. This means that yield should be understood by looking at how GTBTC net asset value changes, rather than only at whether the number of tokens in a wallet increases. The actual result of net asset value growth must still be assessed in light of the product rules and market value at the time; it does not constitute a promised fixed rate of return.

What is the purpose of GTBTC minting and redemption?

GTBTC token supply is adjusted through minting and redemption: GTBTC can be created when BTC enters the relevant arrangement; when redemption is completed, the corresponding GTBTC leaves circulation. This process connects the token quantity to the relevant BTC reserves and product positions. Minting or redemption is not merely an ordinary on-chain transfer. It involves channels and conditions provided by the product, and users should confirm the supported entry points, applicable rules, and settlement arrangements at the time before proceeding; purchasing GTBTC on the secondary market alone does not establish that a user can redeem it in the same way.

On which networks can GTBTC be used, and what should be noted when transferring it?

GTBTC can be used on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Base, and Solana. Multi-chain availability means that corresponding usable forms of the asset exist on these networks; it does not mean that addresses, transfer formats, or the assets used to pay gas are identical across different networks. Before transferring, the sending network, receiving network, and the GTBTC version supported by the recipient must match. If the wrong network is selected, recovery may not be possible even if the token name is the same; users' on-chain fees are also determined by the selected network and network conditions at the time.
