Why Did dYdX (DYDX) Rise in the Last 24 Hours?

Within the dYdX ecosystem, Arcus plans to adjust perpetual contract fee tiers on 2026-10-23. This may affect expectations about the platform’s operational maturity and DYDX value capture. Arcus has also added tokenized stocks and WETH as collateral, which could improve capital efficiency, though the actual utility depends on subsequent use. Deribit plans to adjust the minimum price increment for DYDX and other contracts on 2026-10-27. This is a contract specification update that could prompt some strategies to adjust positions in advance. On 2026-10-21, the total quantity of orders across the first five order-book levels was below 5,000 units, with sell orders exceeding buy orders and one concentrated buy order providing localized support. The shallow book means larger orders may amplify price movements. Technical indicators at that time were broadly neutral and did not point to a consistent trend direction.

About dYdX (DYDX)

Dydx is a decentralized derivatives trading protocol that provides margin trading based on erc20 tokens through a major Ethereum smart contract.

Use Cases and Features

DYDX is the native Layer-1 token of dYdX Chain, used for proof-of-stake network security, staking, and community governance. Holders can delegate tokens to validators to participate in network security; staking rewards are denominated in USDC. Governance participants can influence community-level protocol decisions through proposals and voting.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

DYDX initially issued 1 billion tokens, which became available gradually under a five-year schedule beginning in 2021. The initial allocation included the community, past investors, the team, and future contributors. After ethDYDX bridge support ended in 2025, unbridged ethDYDX was no longer counted in DYDX’s total supply; the effective total supply at that time was 958,342,745 tokens.
