Why Did Chromia (CHR) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

In the order-book snapshot, CHR’s top-five bid volume was about 28,600 and ask volume about 139,300, giving a bid-to-ask volume ratio of 0.21. This shows substantially more near-market selling than buying, and limited buying support may amplify short-term downward pressure; it reflects only the listed levels, not market-wide liquidity. The candle at 01:00 UTC on 2026-10-29 closed 1.81% below its open, and the subsequent quote was about 0.98% below that close, consistent with continued weakness. Without a volume baseline, however, it is not possible to determine whether the move came with increased volume. An oversold 15-minute RSI leaves room for a rebound, while ADX does not indicate direction. Daily moving averages were bearish, whereas the four-hour averages were bullish; MACD showed no crossover on any timeframe, leaving the technical signals mixed and requiring price action for confirmation. No CHR-specific catalyst was confirmed, and the order-book snapshot does not reveal trader intent, so liquidity is only a partial explanation and does not establish a clear negative catalyst or widespread selling.

About Chromia (CHR)

Chromia (designed by magic Avenue) is a new blockchain platform for decentralized applications. It is designed for the shortcomings of the existing platform, and aims to expand the new generation of programs (dapps) beyond the current possible scope. Chromia is both a blockchain and a relational database. This means that distributed applications (dapps) can be written in a way that developers around the world are familiar with, whether it's large enterprise applications, games, or small projects. The magic coin is the original token of chromia. Used as a reward and to pay transaction fees. It is also an economic balancing tool for dapps deployed on chrome. It: - enables dapps to pay for the use of system resources - enables resource conversion between dapps - enables automatic conversion of smart contracts - liquidity and profit sharing - provides a mechanism for verifier nodes to deposit deposits for participating in public networks

Use Cases and Features

CHR is the native utility token of the Chromia network. It can pay for network resources and application deployment, and compensate independent providers that run the network. Applications can cover execution fees for users, so end users do not necessarily need to hold CHR. Holders can delegate native CHR to providers to participate in network security and earn rewards related to network operation. CHR also exists in three forms: Ethereum ERC-20, BNB Chain BEP-20, and native Chromia mainnet CHR.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

CHR initially had a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. After approximately 22 million tokens were burned in May 2020, the cap became about 978 million. The current model is based on existing allocations; fixed daily CHR 2.0 issuance remains an unapproved proposal and is not part of the current issuance rules.
