Bluzelle (BLZ) Price

BLZ is the utility token of the Bluzelle ecosystem, used to pay for network transactions, BluzelleDB and Oracles services, staking, and network governance. Its role extends beyond transfer: developers pay fees to use network resources, while validators participating in network security through staking and block production receive corresponding incentives.

BLZ exists in two forms: ERC-20 BLZ for exchange trading and native BLZ on Bluzelle's own blockchain. They serve different environments: the ERC-20 form exists on an external chain, while the native form is used for network functions within the Bluzelle chain. Therefore, before transferring or using BLZ, it is necessary to confirm that the destination wallet, network, and asset form match. Sharing the name BLZ does not mean network differences can be ignored; using an external-chain token directly as a native in-chain asset may cause a transaction to fail to complete as expected.

Bluzelle's documentation describes the network security mechanism as proof of stake (PoS). Validators must stake BLZ to participate in validation; their validator weight is determined by the ratio of their own stake to the total stake of all network validators. The higher the staking ratio, the greater the voting power and the proportionate share of rewards. Reward sources include fees paid by network clients for data storage, and the documentation also describes a community reward pool for early incentives. Conversely, intentional or unintentional validator misconduct may trigger slashing, meaning tokens are deducted from its stake. Staking is not unconditional income; participants also bear operational and rule-related risks.

On the Bluzelle chain, submitting a transaction consumes gas; when submitting, users purchase the required gas at the specified gas price, denominated in BLZ/gas. The fee users actually pay can be understood as “the gas consumed by the operation × the gas price at that time,” and the BLZ paid then enters the network mechanism as the fee for that transaction. The more complex an operation is, the longer it takes, or the more space and time resources it uses, the more gas it typically requires. The documentation also distinguishes transactions from queries: gas and tax apply only to transactions, while queries are free. Therefore, whether a fee is incurred and its amount depend first on the operation type, resource consumption, and specified gas price.

The BLZ network fees paid by users do not all go to the same destination. Bluzelle documentation states that most fees flow to network providers or validation-related participants as block rewards; a small portion of each transaction is additionally collected as tax into the network development fund for network management and upgrades. This creates a closed loop: network users pay for transactions, one portion of the fees incentivizes those providing network services, and another supports network development. This mechanism explains where fees go; it does not guarantee that any validator or BLZ holder will receive a fixed amount. Actual results depend on transaction activity, staking share, and applicable rules.
