Why Did BitcoinSV (BSV) Fall in the Last 24 Hours?

At 04:00 UTC on 2026-10-26, the BSV candlestick showed a rise from $16.98 to $17.18, with trading volume of 841.616 BSV. In the order book at that time, sell orders at $17.22 made up 57.7% of the total sell volume across the top five levels, creating overhead resistance. A sizable buy order at $17.08 was below that selling pressure and could not directly offset it. The top-five-level bid-to-ask depth ratio was 0.79, leaning toward sellers. Across the technical indicators, RSI readings were neutral and there were no MACD crossovers; ADX ranged from 8.33 to 24.60, below 25 on every timeframe. Only the 15-minute moving average was bearish, so the overall bearish signal reflected weak moving-average alignment rather than a confirmed strong downtrend.

About BitcoinSV (BSV)

Bitcoin SV (BSV) emerged following a hard fork of the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) blockchain in 2018, which had in turn forked from the BTC blockchain a year earlier. The goal of Bitcoin SV is to fulfil the original vision of the Bitcoin protocol and design as described in Satoshi Nakamoto’s white paper. They aim to offer scalability and stability in line with the original description of Bitcoin as a peer-to-peer electronic cash system, as well as deliver a distributed data network that can support enterprise-level advanced blockchain applications.

Use Cases and Features

BSV is the native crypto asset of BSV Blockchain and can be used to pay transaction fees and transfer value on the network. The network organizes transactions into linked blocks and maintains records through proof of work; once a transaction is included in a valid block, it can form a verifiable time record. Its design also supports carrying data in transactions for on-chain use cases such as payments and data notarization.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

BSV enters circulation through proof-of-work (PoW) block production: nodes compete to produce valid blocks and receive the block subsidy and fees from the transactions included. Block rewards are paid through a coinbase transaction; coinbase here is the first reward transaction in a block, not a trading platform. The block subsidy decreases over time according to a set algorithm, and transaction fees also incentivize nodes to maintain the network.
