Why Did Bitcoin (BTC) Rise in the Last 24 Hours?

During 2026-10-23 05:00–05:15, rising oil prices and concerns about inflation, energy supply and escalating conflict in the Middle East may have weighed on risk appetite. Reports of a possible strike on Iranian missile facilities had not been confirmed by U.S. Central Command, so they cannot be treated as a confirmed catalyst. Shallow order-book depth may also amplify short-term moves: buy volume exceeded sell volume across the top five levels, but buy liquidity was highly concentrated and overall depth was limited, which does not establish institutional support. Technical signals were broadly bearish in the same interval: hourly moving averages were bearish with a relatively high ADX, while the four-hour bias was bearish but less strong; 15-minute moving averages were bullish, though the rebound trend was weak. RSI was neutral across timeframes and MACD showed no crossover, offering no support for an oversold-reversal reading. The expected rise in Japan’s core CPI to 2.1% was still a forecast, and volume data and direct evidence of fund flows were unavailable; these factors therefore provide possible macroeconomic and technical context but do not identify a single trigger.

About Bitcoin (BTC)

The concept of Bitcoin (BitCoin) was proposed by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008. It is a decentralized digital currency based on open-source software and a P2P network. Unlike traditional currencies, Bitcoin is not issued by a central authority but generated through computational algorithms. Transactions are verified and recorded by a distributed database across the P2P network, with cryptography ensuring security. Its decentralized nature and algorithm prevent artificial manipulation through mass production.

Use Cases and Features

Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer digital currency. Users can send and receive BTC with a wallet without a bank acting as a transaction intermediary. The network uses cryptographic signatures to protect control of funds and proof of work to maintain the ordering and tamper resistance of transaction records. Users should safeguard their wallets and access credentials.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

BTC is issued through mining: after miners package transactions into a new block and complete proof of work, they can receive the block reward and the transaction fees included in it. Issuance is tied to the network's record-keeping and cannot be arbitrarily increased by a single institution; transactions are recorded by block in a public ledger.

Core Events

Bitcoin halving refers to the reduction in block rewards earned by miners. When miners validate transactions on the blockchain, they receive a fixed amount of Bitcoin as a reward.
