Why Did Bellscoin (BELLS) Rise in the Last 24 Hours?

On 2026-10-21, social media posts mentioned BELLS liquidation selling and a community call to buy, but neither was independently corroborated, so they should not be treated as confirmed project developments or fund flows. Low liquidity can magnify the price impact of small trades; hourly volume was only 68,709 units at 09:00 UTC on 2026-10-22. The top-five-level bid-to-ask depth ratio was 1.70, while a larger sell wall still represented overhead pressure. Technical signals were broadly bearish: an oversold four-hour RSI may accompany a short-term rebound, but moving-average signals remained weak and did not confirm a trend reversal.

About Bellscoin (BELLS)

Bellscoin, created by Billy Marcus (BillyM2K)—the founder of Dogecoin—was launched in 2013, eight days before Dogecoin. Dogecoin is a fork of Bellscoin!Billy designed $BELLS to emulate the in-game currency from his favorite Nintendo game, Animal Crossing. Its unique tokenomics include reduced miner rewards over time, which adds scarcity and increases appeal for traders. True to its decentralized vision, Bellscoin has no venture capital (VC) backing, no initial coin offering (ICO), and no insider allocations, ensuring a transparent, community-driven ethos."

Use Cases and Features

Bellscoin (BELLS) is the native cryptocurrency of the Bellscoin network. It uses Scrypt proof of work, with miners helping maintain the network and earning block rewards. The network can be merge-mined with Litecoin and Dogecoin, allowing eligible miners to participate in multiple networks during the same mining process. BELLS's value and liquidity can be affected by factors such as market demand, network use, and mining activity.

Supply and Issuance Mechanism

BELLS is issued through Scrypt proof-of-work mining. The official website says there was no pre-mine or allocation to the team or venture capital. The target block time is 60 seconds, and difficulty adjusts about every 4 hours. Issuance rewards decline by stage: after the fifth stage, each block produces a fixed 2 BELLS. The project has no fixed maximum supply, so total supply continues to grow as blocks are produced.
