A2Z (A2Z) Price

A2Z is the new name and new unit adopted by the former League of Kingdoms token, LOKA, after the network upgrade in 2025. It was also the governance and ecosystem token that the Arena-Z platform had planned to use. It is not a second, similar asset separate from LOKA: the upgrade expanded the project’s positioning from a single-game token to a gaming-platform token and redenominated it at a rate of 1 LOKA for 20 A2Z. At the time, the project said A2Z would be used for governance, game support programs, seasonal rewards, and ecosystem development. It deployed a new contract on Ethereum L1 and planned to bridge it to its gaming L2 on the OP Superchain. Those uses were part of the platform design before the shutdown; the project later announced that Arena-Z Network and LOK Universe services would close on May 31, 2026. Therefore, the whitepaper’s game, network, or reward functions must not be treated as services that are still operating.

The core of LOKA’s conversion to A2Z was a project and token renaming, contract migration, and 20-fold unit redenomination: 1 LOKA corresponded to 20 A2Z. Therefore, someone who held 1% of the LOKA supply would still represent the same relative proportion after the corresponding conversion at that rate; a 20-fold increase in token quantity does not itself mean that the holder’s relative share or economic value increased 20-fold. The project disclosed that community votes including AIP-001, AIP-001B, and AIP-002 authorized the change. The new A2Z contract was deployed on Ethereum L1, with the address listed in the announcement as 0x08dCb9B5989fb09ef80E85567ec1F49577a70D29. When confirming the renaming, the announcement stated that, apart from the 20-fold redenomination and relocking, existing allocation, emission logic, and vesting structure would not change structurally; however, it did not provide an individual token-conversion process that could be used currently, so it cannot be inferred that any platform still offers conversion or bridging services.

A2Z has a maximum supply of 10 billion tokens. This is the figure obtained by redenominating the former maximum supply of 500 million LOKA at the 1:20 rate. The conversion changes the unit of measurement: 500 million × 20 = 10 billion. Supply should be understood by comparing it with the old LOKA unit, rather than by directly adding the two units together. The supply adjustment approved in 2025 also involved previously unlocked staking allocations: 65,000,000 LOKA, or 1,300,000,000 A2Z, were relocked until January 2027 under the original vesting timeline. This “relocking” is not a burn: these tokens still count toward the maximum supply, but should not be confused with freely circulating tokens during the lock-up period. The project also stated that, aside from the 20-fold redenomination and this relocking, the remaining allocation, emission logic, and vesting structure would remain unchanged.

The most important subsequent change was the project’s April 2026 announcement that it would close League of Kingdoms, LOK Chronicle, LOK Hunters, and Arena-Z Network, setting May 31, 2026 as the date on which all services would close. That date has passed, so the platform functions, in-game rewards, and network services described in the pre-closure whitepaper should not be considered normally usable services that remain available. The closure process treated different assets differently: the announcement required in-game A2Z to be bridged to a self-custodied on-chain wallet before the servers closed; on-chain A2Z and in-game balances must not be conflated. Some NFTs on the Arena-Z network could at that time be bridged to Polygon; in-game currencies, points, and consumables had to be used before the deadline and could not be converted or refunded after closure; unclaimed Land rewards or vested allocations likewise had to be claimed before the deadline, after which the claiming function would be permanently disabled. These were the deadline arrangements announced by the project and do not mean that they can still be completed after those dates.

A2Z was designed as a governance and ecosystem-support token for the Arena-Z gaming platform, rather than as a certificate proven to automatically confer a fixed income stream, redemption right, or ownership of underlying assets. The project’s whitepaper described it as a token supporting game support programs, seasonal rewards, and ecosystem growth; those uses depended on the continued operation of the platform, games, and network. Accordingly, analysis of A2Z must distinguish between the token contract continuing to exist on-chain and the project services, in-game uses, or reward programs continuing to operate. The project’s closure announcement stated that it could no longer sustain operations and announced the closure of related services; this fundamentally changed token uses that had depended on the ecosystem, but the announcement did not promise that A2Z could be redeemed at a fixed price or describe the closure as a guarantee of value for holders.

It cannot be inferred solely because A2Z was once used for platform governance, rewards, or game support that these mechanisms would generate continuing token demand or price appreciation. The original transmission path was that users or partner games used platform functions, the platform used A2Z to support governance, rewards, and ecosystem programs, and only that related participation might create usage demand for those functions; this path depended on services remaining open, actual adoption by users and developers, and the token being genuinely necessary in specific steps. The 2026 closure announcement severed or materially weakened the above links that depended on platform operations, so historical whitepaper uses cannot be treated directly as evidence of current demand. On the supply side, the 20-fold redenomination does not change relative ownership proportions, while relocking only means that some tokens were restricted during a defined period; it is neither equivalent to a burn nor sufficient on its own to determine future tradable supply, liquidity, or price outcomes.

When verifying an A2Z asset, first confirm whether the token being viewed is the Ethereum L1 A2Z contract announced by the project, rather than conflating old LOKA, in-game balances, same-name assets on other chains, or unofficial tokens as the same asset. The A2Z contract address listed in the project’s 2025 upgrade announcement is 0x08dCb9B5989fb09ef80E85567ec1F49577a70D29. Second, distinguish the asset’s location and applicable deadlines: the closure process required in-game A2Z to be transferred to a self-custodied on-chain wallet by May 31, 2026, while in-game assets, NFTs, and unclaimed entitlements were subject to different rules. Because that deadline has passed, it cannot be assumed that historical bridging, claiming, or customer-support processes remain available; for any on-chain interaction, the target contract address, on-chain transaction, and currently accessible official channels should each be verified separately.

Arena-Z’s development can be summarized as two changes of different kinds: in 2025, League of Kingdoms/LOKA was expanded and renamed as Arena-Z/A2Z, with a 20-fold redenomination and new-contract arrangement; in 2026, the related games and network services were announced for closure. The first change sought to expand a single-game token’s uses to multiple games and platform services, while the latter ended the operating environment on which those services depended. These two events therefore must not be combined into a narrative of “successful upgrade followed by continued operation”: the token renaming, supply relocking, and closure announcement respectively affect the asset’s name and unit, restricted supply, and service availability. For understanding A2Z, all three more directly determine its identity, historical supply information, and current usability boundaries than a generalized statement about “gaming ecosystem development.”

Maximum supply, circulating supply, and freely usable balances must not be treated as the same number. For A2Z, 10 billion is the maximum supply after the 1:20 redenomination; the 1.3 billion A2Z that were relocked remain within the maximum supply, but should not be counted as freely circulating supply at the same point in time because of the lock-up arrangement. Likewise, in-game A2Z balances formerly had to be bridged to become on-chain tokens in a self-custodied wallet, and the two had different operational status in the closure process. The project did not provide in these announcements a current circulating-supply figure that could substitute for on-chain verification; therefore, any specific supply or balance assessment should clearly state whether it refers to maximum supply, the locked amount, an on-chain balance, or a historical in-game balance that can no longer be operated.

The key facts about A2Z are not a generic “gaming token” label, but that its asset identity went through LOKA’s 20-fold renaming conversion and contract migration, followed by the announced closure of the Arena-Z and LOK Universe services on which it relied. The former determines how old units, supply, and relocking should be mapped; the latter means that old platform functions, in-game balance handling, or reward mechanisms must not be described as services that can still be participated in. The official closure process also showed that on-chain A2Z, in-game A2Z, NFTs, in-game items, and unclaimed Land entitlements had different rules. These asset boundaries matter more than describing everything as an “ecosystem asset”: they determine which asset, contract, or system a user should verify and whether historical deadline arrangements have already expired.

In its closure announcement, the project said it had decided to end LOK Universe game and Arena-Z Network services because of years of losses, token value declines caused by exchange delistings, and insufficient operating funds. The announcement also said that the foundation’s remaining holdings would be deposited into listed lock-up contracts and would not be used or sold; this is the project’s statement about its own holdings, not a guarantee concerning market liquidity, token price, or any third party’s conduct. This event matters because it directly changed the operating environment for A2Z’s original uses, which depended on the platform and games remaining active. When assessing the token, the project’s operational termination, lock-up statement, and on-chain token itself should be viewed separately: service closure does not mean the token contract automatically disappears, and a lock-up statement does not mean holders receive redemption rights or a guarantee of value.

A2Z should not be described as a general-purpose gaming platform token that is still continuously expanding: that description ignores the project’s announced service shutdown. A more accurate description is that A2Z was Arena-Z’s governance and ecosystem token, and that LOKA was renamed and redenominated as A2Z at 1:20 in 2025; the project subsequently announced that its games and network services would close on May 31, 2026. Nor should “10 billion maximum supply” be understood as creating 20 times more relative entitlement, or “relocking” be described as a burn; the former is the proportional conversion of the old 500 million LOKA maximum supply, while the latter is 1.3 billion A2Z locked until January 2027 under the existing timeline. Finally, the bridging and claiming steps in historical announcements all had explicit deadlines and must not be written as processes that users can still perform now after those deadlines have passed.
