In the actual gameplay paths, the mining game runs on the WAX chain, while the mission game runs on the BNB chain. TLM is therefore connected both to players' gaming activities and to Planet DAO voting rights obtained after locking tokens to a planet.

How can players use or obtain TLM in Alien Worlds?

Players can attempt to obtain TLM through mining: the official getting-started guide describes the reward for each mining attempt as Trilium. The mining game is on the WAX chain, while the mission game is on the BNB chain, and TLM can also be used to participate in missions for a chance at additional rewards. Receiving rewards does not mean earning a fixed return. Under the contract mechanism, newly created TLM replenishes the mining pool, and players mine tokens from that pool; therefore, player activity and token distribution must be understood in conjunction with game rules and the reward pool available at the time.

The only source of new TLM is inflation: the `inflt.worlds` contract mints new tokens according to a predetermined schedule, then divides them into two paths. One portion enters the mining pool for players to mine, while the other is claimed by planets. A planet's claimable share is related to the weight of TLM locked to that planet, and the contract documentation also states that it is related to NFTs held. Thus, “minting” is only the first step in creating new tokens; they are subsequently distributed according to rules to planets or used to replenish the mining pool, and may ultimately reach players or planet treasuries.

Why does TLM inflation decline over time?

TLM's daily inflation amount is not a fixed quantity, but a certain proportion of the remaining reserve; after each mint, the corresponding amount is deducted from the reserve. Therefore, all else being equal, a smaller reserve causes the subsequent daily mint amount to continue declining. The technical documentation gives the relationship as: the daily proportion is approximately `(13 + number of planets × 1.9) / 100000`, with the number of planets capped at 7. When there are 7 planets, the proportion is approximately 0.0263% of the remaining reserve per day. This proportion applies to the remaining reserve; the daily inflation cap constant in the documentation should not be misread as a fixed actual daily issuance amount, as that constant is a safety cap designed to prevent abnormal minting.

What happens after locking TLM to a planet?

When TLM is staked to a planet, the TLM is locked and the user receives that planet's voting token. This token is essentially a voting receipt for locked TLM, rather than another currency that can be independently earned or traded. This receipt can only be issued in exchange for locked TLM and is burned when TLM is released; its core purpose is to represent voting weight in the planet's DAO. A single lock therefore has two effects: the TLM supports the planet's inflation-allocation weight, while the user receives voting rights for that planet during the lock period.

What is the relationship between planet voting tokens and TLM?

The amount of a planet voting token directly corresponds to the TLM locked to that planet: it is issued when TLM is locked and burned when TLM is released. It therefore reflects the amount of TLM committed to that planet, rather than a second economic asset issued in addition. For governance, users holding this receipt have the corresponding voting weight in that planet's DAO; for inflation allocation, TLM locked to a planet is one of the weighting factors for that planet's share of newly minted TLM. Voting weight and inflation weight arise from the same lock, but serve different purposes.

Alien Worlds' game and asset activities are distributed across multiple chains: mining is on WAX, missions are on BNB, and the project also covers Ethereum. The official interface provides a Teleport channel for moving Trilium obtained through mining to BNB to participate in missions. Unstaked TLM can be sent back from the BNB chain to WAX, and the official guidance states that this process usually takes only a few minutes. “Unstaked” is the key condition here: TLM already locked for planet voting is in a locked state, and should not be confused with unstaked balances that can be transferred cross-chain.

TLM connects player rewards and planetary governance, but the two pass through different stages. Players can mine TLM through gameplay from replenished mining pools; planets claim inflation shares according to weights such as locked TLM, while lockers receive voting receipts at the same time. Therefore, holding TLM itself does not automatically mean that one has voted on a planet, nor does it automatically mean that one receives mining rewards. To obtain planet voting rights, TLM must be locked to that planet; to participate in mining or missions, users must follow the relevant game chain and process.
