PANews, August 25th news, according to Cointelegraph, the blockchain investigation agency Darkbit discovered that a new scam service Vanilla Drainer has stolen at least 5.27 million USD in Crypto Assets within three weeks. The organization assists fraudsters in stealing funds by providing phishing software, taking a cut of 15%-20% from the proceeds. Vanilla started its operations in October 2024, with advertisements claiming it can bypass the security detection platform Blockaid. In the largest single theft case on August 5, the victim lost $3.09 million in stablecoins, while the operator made a profit of $463,000. The stolen funds are usually converted into ETH or unfreezable stablecoin DAI, eventually consolidating into a specific fee wallet that currently holds tokens worth $2.23 million. Vanilla evades tracking by creating new contracts for each malicious website and frequently changing domain names.
