New Hampshire passes a bill to establish a state-level Bitcoin reserve, becoming the first in the United States.

Gate.io News bot message, New Hampshire has signed HB 302, pioneering the way for U.S. states in digital asset reserves. The bill allows the state treasury department to invest up to 5% of state funds in digital assets with a market capitalization of over $500 billion. Currently, only Bitcoin meets this investment standard.

According to the content of the bill, these digital assets will be custodied through state-controlled multi-signature, qualified custodians, or exchange-traded products. The bill will come into effect 60 days after being signed.
