Pi Network is a mobile-focused cryptocurrency project that allows users to mine Pi Coins via their smartphones. The main goal of the project is to make cryptocurrency mining accessible to everyone without requiring complex hardware or technical knowledge.
How Does It Work?
Unlike traditional cryptocurrency mining (like Bitcoin), Pi Network operates with low energy consumption. Users download the Pi Network mobile app to their phones and log in to the app once a day to perform "mining". This "mining" process does not significantly use your device's battery or processing power. Pi Network uses a different consensus algorithm based on the Stellar Consensus Protocol (SCP) to verify transactions and secure the network.

Current Status
Pi Network is currently in the enclosed mainnet phase and is not yet listed on major cryptocurrency exchanges. The project team (Pi Core Team) is prioritizing the completion of the KYC process and the development of the ecosystem for the full mainnet transition and exchange listings. Therefore, there is currently no official market price for Pi Coin and it is important to be careful.
While Pi Network is an ambitious project with the potential to include more people in the crypto world, it should be noted that important steps such as the full opening of the mainnet and the start of trading of Pi Coin on exchanges are not yet complete.
