These two applications are popular creator reward tools in the Farcaster ecosystem recently.

A penny for a like

Noice is a Mini App built into the Farcaster client, combining the product forms of several previously validated social products such as Degen, time.fun, and Frien.Tech. It mainly includes the following types of mechanisms:

First is the tipping mechanism. On the user's timeline, every interaction with others (such as liking, sharing, commenting) can include a tip. Currently, USDC is used, and in the future, any token will be supported for tipping.

In addition, any user can request specific forms of interaction from other users, including likes, comments, retweets, follows, private messages, group chats, and even one-on-one calls.

Noice also has a daily incentive part, where the user with the highest reward amount each day will receive an additional 100 USDC incentive, encouraging users to interact more, thus "more rewards, more earnings."

Users who want to use Noice only need to search for the Noice interface in the Farcaster Mini Apps marketplace, and then set their own Tip amount. For example, the image below means that users will reward the poster with 0.01 USDC for actions such as liking, reposting, or commenting on posts.

At the same time, the Noice team also launched the Noice platform token $NOICE on Clanker on May 22, with 30% of the token supply locked for 1 month, of which 20% is used for airdrops and 10% is held by the core team. At the time of writing, $NOICE has a market capitalization of $9.11 million, up 93% in 24 hours.

According to Noice's official website, the $NOICE will be airdropped in a month, and the specific details have not yet been announced, but the total amount of the airdrop will increase according to the real-time usage of network users, and the total amount of the airdrop is currently $1.8 million.

Dominating the "Base Billboard"

Noice was launched only two days ago, and its founder has won the bidding multiple times to gain access to the QR code entry of the Base ecosystem QR code display platform qrcoin.fun. qrcoin had previously been endorsed by the Base official retweet, and the market performance of Noice after its launch also caused the qrcoin platform token $QR to rise simultaneously.

According to the official website, Noice will soon launch the Creator Tokens module, allowing creators to issue their own tokens. For example, the user @tike can create a personal token named $tk, which will be used when he rewards others with $tk. Meanwhile, whenever someone requests a like, call, follow, or comment from @tike, that token will also be destroyed.

In the integration plan with Zora, holding a creator's token (such as $jesse) entitles you to 1% of the rights to their future content tokens, and you can also earn transaction fee revenue from these tokens.

Noice also plans to introduce a tipping and access mechanism to X, allowing users to tip content or purchase interaction rights directly on the timeline without having to switch applications, ensuring smooth cash flow.

Finally, Noice will integrate Solana, allowing users to tip with any token in the Solana ecosystem on X, and enabling Creator Tokens to be deployed simultaneously on both Base and Solana chains to further expand their applicability and liquidity.

Noice's mechanism is very reminiscent of DEGEN, the earliest social tipping token in the Farcaster ecosystem, but due to changes in the crypto market environment, the Farcaster ecosystem's understanding of "social assets" is not what it used to be. DEGEN is more of a projection of community sentiment and humorous value consensus, while $NOICE tries to introduce a more direct economic incentive structure, which clearly binds interactive behavior to financial flows.

To some extent, it represents an attempt to shift from "cultural symbol" to "functional asset." Compared to the emotionally driven sentiment of DEGEN, whether $NOICE can carve out a more sustainable path still depends on whether it can truly establish high-frequency interaction scenarios and long-term demand beyond the incentive model.
